 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her career as an actress as a young person just after moving to the United States. The appearances she made as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and now since 2020 - made her famous. Commercial appearances weren't her only activity she appeared in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). She also had a recurring role as a character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub has also been voiced as Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after she was cast as the character in the unaired TV pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub, a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. At two years of age She and her parents immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to get away from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. She began performing in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five due to the financial difficulties of her family. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, but dropped out after her sophomore year, earned an GED and went to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of California, San Diego. Through the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied improv comedy.
