For the purpose of launching her acting career, she started by dancing and musical theater with the intention of later introducing formal acting. After graduating early from high-school She enrolled in Vancouver Film School and completed the Acting Essentials course. She auditioned at an open call after completing her course. The audition led to her being signed with an agent. She was a student at her school, the Alida Vocal Studio in Vancouver.
